| Eligibilty: | MPhil Program of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU): Master’s in Economics with > 50% marks or other Social Science/ Humanities subjects with > 55% or Sciences/ Technology /Life Sciences with > 60%.Fellowships: Rs.3000 p.m. ü UGC JRF can be availed for both the Programmes. ü ICSSR Salary protection scheme for college/university teachers for PhD.Selection Process: Applicants are short listed for interview on the basis of their scores for academic record (from +2 onwards) and the research proposal submitted witht eh application. The research Proposal is a tool for evaluation of the applicantâs interest and aptitude for undergoing this Programme and is a key element of the application.It should ideally have: ü Review of relevant literature on the chosen topicü A cogent exposition on the study problemü Objectives of the studyü Theoretical Frameworkü Methodology and sources of dataü List of References.It can be in any field of study with an applied economics approach.It should ideally be around 1500 words, neatly typed/ word-processed.It should be the candidateâs own work.Bear in mind that it should not be just an essay; nor it should be photocopies of Dissertation/ Project report for the Masterâs Degree or any other study programme. (Copies of such studies can be submitted as additional material).The proposal will be evaluated in terms of the reasoning and economic insight. The final selection will be based on a personal interview at CDS to ascertain the candidateâs interest and aptitude for undergoing the Programme. |
